July 20, 2010: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nirmala Seetharaman has said the education scholarship given to students of minority communities should be extended to deserving students from all communities.
Speaking to journalists, she said Tamil Nadu, which is the State of Kamaraj, who ensured universal free education, could not follow such a discriminatory policy (of providing scholarships to students from minority communities alone).
It is to be noted that the BJP has organised an agitation against the education policy of the State government “discriminating” other students including Hindu Dalits.
